The match-up on field 3 features two undefeated teams this week.  We shall see if the youth and energy of Michael Olson's team can outplay the experience and patience of Mr. Stratton's team.



Due to the rain last week, we were unable to have the closest to the cone competition to win a FUPA headband.  To compensate, this week the closest 4 discs will win a FUPA headband.  Competition will start at 5:45PM and is for paid registrants.

Games were capped around 5pm by thunder and lightning.  We attempted to wait 30 minutes for the weather to clear, but the thunder and lightning continued until the start of the older league.

The Dragon Slayers (Team 2) played the Slayers of the Dragon Slayers (Team 4) and the Purple Orangutans (Team 3) played Team 1.

2011 FUJPA - Week 1

The weather was perfect for to set the tone for summer ultimate in the following weeks.  There were close games and a good turnout as more players entered the league.

The Dragon Slayers (Team 2) won over Team 1 by the close margin of 15 - 13.  The Slayers of the Dragon Slayers (Team 4) won over the Purple Orangutans (Team 3) by a 15 - 10 count.

There is a large range in throwing abilities from this group.  Practice your throws with a partner at a short distance first, and extend your distance as comfort and ability increases.  Talk to Robert about your throws.  He will work with you on making your throws completions.
